Guidelines for tack and attire appointments for the WHS Corinthian Class
Appointments are important. Here are some guidelines. For a complete list you can refer to The Chronicle of the Horse Appointments.
Flat bridle with no rubber on reins
Flat breastplate
Spurs for call back, can leave off over fences
No saddle pad for call back, can use over fences
Black dress boots, have boots straps to match boots, either flat black for patent leather or brown for men
White string gloves under saddle flaps, fingers forward, wear brown gloves
Adults carry hunt whip, children optional
Sandwich case for ladies and children with proper sandwich in wax paper and sherry or port for women and tea for children; men carry flask
Approved plain helmet or top hat, women wear hairnet
If staff have wire cutters, no sandwich case
