Preparations for this year’s show are in high-gear now and we can hardly wait for September 2nd to 6th! Many exciting additions are planned for the 2026 WHS including new divisions, more purse money, a ‘Young Horse Festival’ day, and a new feature class for Thoroughbreds: The $7,500 “William E. ‘Bill’ Graves Memorial Thoroughbred Derby. A preliminary timetable is now posted to the Schedule page for your reference.

Show sponsorship opportunities and benefits for both Business and Individual sponsors have been expanded and updated; we look forward to even more community involvement this year. So many wonderful sponsors are already joining-in to be part of the 2026 WHS and we look forward to start announcing them soon.

As a volunteer-run show, we could not put on a great show for competitors, trainers, owners and the whole community without sponsors/donors, volunteers and vendors. We are so grateful for their support. Please check out other pages for information on how to participate or click on the buttons below. Thank you.

See you in September!

Hilary and Snowden

A message from the
WHS Co-Presidents

Started in 1899, The Warrenton Horse Show Association is the oldest continuously-operating corporation in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

The WHS Association (WHSA) is a volunteer-run, community-based organization that represents the interests of horse show enthusiasts, competitors, horse breeders and the community of Warrenton. The WHSA operates the historic showgrounds and conducts the annual Warrenton Horse Show (WHS).

The WHS is “C” rated by the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF), the Virginia Horse Show Association, the Maryland Horse Shows Association, and US Hunter Jumper Association Regional II. The WHS also serves as a qualifier show for the Virginia Hunter Championships, the Washington International Horse Show, and NAL.

The WHSA aims to give all riders, handlers and horses the experience of a higher rated show in a relaxed, hospitable environment and at a lower cost. Its goal is to educate and encourage more exhibitors to explore the sport of horse showing and to compete at a top-notch facility with a highly-respected staff. It also aims to share the experience of Warrenton’s ‘Labor Day Tradition’ with the entire community.

We look forward to seeing you at the 127th Warrenton Horse Show. The show is open to the public daily.
