Welcome to the 2026 Warrenton Horse Show *

Preparations for this year’s show are in high-gear and we can hardly wait for September. Renovation of the main ring and warm-up ring are nearly complete. And the show schedule! There are so many exciting additions to the schedule, and much more prize money to be awarded. We welcome many of the top equestrians from throughout the region to compete in this iconic five-day show, but a wide variety of classes are offered for juniors, amateurs, and professionals.

The 2026 WHS features a full day of Breeding classes and day celebrating Thoroughbreds including the $7,500 William E. ‘Bill’ Graves Memorial Thoroughbred Hunter Derby with a $7,500 Challenge Bonus opportunity for those who also score points in the Upperville Thoroughbred Hunter Derby. There’s also prize money in the TAKE2 TB Hunter Division this year and increased award pots for both WHS Hunter Derbies on Friday. Read about all what’s new for 2026 here and get show schedule details here. You are not going to want to miss the 2026 Warrenton Horse Show.

See you in September!

-THE WARRENTON HORSE SHOW ASSOCIATION-

The show is free and open to the public daily starting at 8am. General Parking is free.

Started in 1899, The Warrenton Horse Show Association (WHSA) is the oldest continuously-operating corporation in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The WHSA is a volunteer-run, community-based organization that represents the interests of horse show enthusiasts, competitors, horse breeders and the community of Warrenton. The WHSA operates the historic showgrounds and conducts the annual Warrenton Horse Show (WHS).

The WHSA aims to give all riders, handlers and horses the experience of a higher rated show in a relaxed, hospitable environment and at a lower cost. Its goal is to educate and encourage more exhibitors to explore the sport of horse showing and to compete at a top-notch facility with a highly-respected staff. It also aims to share the experience of Warrenton’s ‘Labor Day Tradition’ with the entire community.

As a volunteer-run show, we could not put on a great show for competitors, trainers, owners and the whole community without sponsors, donors, volunteers and vendors. We are so grateful for their support. Please consider Sponsorship as a way to sustain and be a key participant in this historic community event.
